Blog - Four Inns Walk 2019

15th April 2019

We provided a modular building again this year for the annual Four Inns Walk which took place on Saturday 6th April. This is regarded by many as a premier Scout organised distance event, celebrated its Diamond jubilee in 2017. Today it is a flagship event run by Derbyshire County Scout Council. The organisation, running and manning the checkpoints on the day is all done by volunteers.

The event itself covers approximately 65km over some of the roughest moorland in Britain and takes its name from the Four Inns along its route; the Isle of Skye (site of), the Snake Pass Inn, the Nags Head and the Cat and Fiddle.

A shorter route – the 35k, has been introduced to encourage 14-18 year old members only, to take part in. A very different sort of Explorer Scout challenge, please encourage your younger members to take part. Same great support and great range of Trophies to compete for.

We were pleased to be able to help this great event by providing shelter for the volunteers and walkers at this check point.
