A first quotation was sent the following day with an idea of a layout for a straight six-bay building measuring 20’ x 48’. Unfortunately, this layout didn’t work with the piece of ground she eventually found at Chorlton Sports & Social Club. This was a triangular piece of grass on the approach to their clubhouse, on the edge of the pitches. After much discussion and a second visit to see us, the drawing was redesigned to take the shape of the space into account, and with the addition of a disabled-accessible toilet, Julie was happy to sign off. The building was kept mainly open plan with one internal column. A small kitchen area was installed in the corner near to the entrance into the infant and adult toilet area.
As this was a grassed area and Julie had no contact for groundworkers, we put her in touch with Jackpad who we have worked with successfully on several occasions. They supply and fit a system of adjustable foundation pads which are suitable for most ground conditions.
Once the planning permission was granted Julie placed her order with us and Jackpad for installation as soon as possible.
We received the order on the 4th of April and started to assemble the building and gather the materials needed.
Jackpad attended site on Thursday 14th April to dig out the grass and install the foundations.
We delivered the eight modules on Thursday 21st April. The installation took two days with the use of a lorry-mounted crane to unload each module and place on the prepared area.
The building has now got all the furniture & games installed and with the addition of some colourful wall decals, we think the overall effect is really good.
